Models for images
Everything running today, with what the cheapest run of each model costs. A subscription never unlocks or locks one of them: you pick.
21 modelsfrom 1 Star
Nano Banana 2
Google's flagship image model. It draws from a description and reworks whatever you send it, and text inside the frame comes out readable, which most models still cannot manage.
from 9 Stars
GPT Image 2
OpenAI's image model reads a long prompt closely and keeps things where you asked for them. Good when the frame needs legible text or a scene built exactly to description.
from 2 Stars
FLUX.1 Schnell
The quick draft model: you type a prompt and it draws it. Take it when you want to run through a dozen ideas rather than polish one.
from 1 Star
Nano Banana Pro
The bigger Nano Banana: 2K output, clean text inside the frame, and edits that keep the detail. It works from a photo or from a prompt alone.
from 20 Stars
Seedream 5 Pro
ByteDance's photo editing: it swaps clothes, backgrounds and style without redrawing the person. It will not start without a photo, text alone is not enough.
from 10 Stars
Pruna P-Image
The fastest image here and one of the cheapest. Take it when you want to run through a dozen ideas rather than polish one.
from 2 Stars
Nano Banana 2 Lite
Google's editor: attach a photo, say what to change in plain words, and the face and the light survive it. Leave the photo out and it just generates from the prompt.
from 5 Stars
Seedream 5 Lite
The junior Seedream: the same grasp of a complicated scene as the Pro, at a fraction of the price. Strong on keeping a frame internally consistent.
from 5 Stars
Grok Imagine Image
xAI's image model in three quality rungs. The bottom one costs almost nothing; the top one reaches for the flagships.
from 4 Stars
FLUX.2
Black Forest Labs' current line, in three rungs. It bills by megapixel, so the frame here is pinned at exactly one.
from 5 Stars
FLUX.1 Kontext
The editing model people mean when they say editing: it holds a face and a style from frame to frame, which is why it is used on series rather than single images.
from 6 Stars
GPT Image 2.5
OpenAI's new image models for creating and editing: Flare for quick ideas, Sunburst for precise revisions. Choose quality and canvas size before generating.
from 2 Stars
Qwen Image 3.0 Pro
Alibaba's flagship. One of the strongest in the world on blind comparisons, and inexpensive with it.
from 6 Stars
Recraft V4.1
Recraft for design work: clean graphics, careful typography, a result you can predict.
from 6 Stars
Krea 2
Krea in three rungs, from very fast to large. It has an aesthetic of its own, which is what people come to it for.
from 3 Stars
Pruna P-Image Edit
Edits a photo you send from a written instruction: swap the background, the style, one detail. The cheapest edit on the shelf.
from 2 Stars
Pruna Upscale
Raises a photo's resolution and cleans up the noise. Tens of times cheaper than the professional upscaler, because the output size is one you pick rather than one your file decides.
from 1 Star
Recraft Vector
The only model here that returns real SVG rather than pixels. Logos and icons that scale to any size afterwards.
from 11 Stars
GPT Image 1.5
OpenAI's previous image engine, in two quality rungs. Cheaper than the current one and still in the world's top ten.
from 2 Stars
Recraft V4.1 Pro
The senior Recraft, for work that goes into production rather than into a chat.
from 32 Stars
Topaz Upscale
It enlarges an image four times and pulls detail back out instead of stretching pixels. For old photos and small screenshots you need to print or show large.
from 38 Stars
How to choose
Which model to pick
The image shelf is the widest one here, and the choice comes down to three questions: how fast, how finished, and whether you are starting from a photo.
Trying an idea out
Pruna P-Image, FLUX.1 Schnell and Krea 2 are the draft models: cheap enough to run a dozen framings of one idea and keep one.
1 Star is what a run on those starts at, so a free week is worth several attempts before you spend anything of your own. Move up only when one of the drafts is close.
When it has to look finished
Nano Banana 2 is the safe flagship, and the one to use when words have to appear inside the picture and stay readable. Nano Banana Pro takes the same job to 2K and keeps the detail through an edit.
Qwen Image 3.0 Pro argues with both for a fraction of the price. Recraft V4.1 is the design pick, flat graphics and controlled type, and Recraft Vector returns real SVG, so a logo scales afterwards rather than being redrawn.
When you start from your own photo
Nano Banana 2 Lite edits in plain words and leaves the face and the lighting where they were. FLUX.1 Kontext is the one for a series, because it holds a face and a style from image to image.
Seedream 5 Pro will not start without a photo and is the strongest at swapping clothes, background and style on a real person. Pruna P-Image Edit is the cheapest edit here, and Pruna Upscale or Topaz Upscale come last, on the frame you kept.
What Telegram changes
An AI image generator in Telegram skips both slow parts: the photo is already in the chat, so there is nothing to upload, and the result comes back to that same chat, where it can become a sticker pack.
12 Stars land in the account every week with no card, and they do not carry over: the new week replaces the leftover rather than adding to it. Everything past that is paid in Telegram Stars, one credit per Star.
Process
Three steps to a finished image
- Open the bot@StarGenAI_Bot, and the Mini App from there. Nothing to download.
- Describe a shot or send a photoYour own prompt, or a ready preset in one tap. A photo gets reworked rather than redrawn.
- Take the image back to the chatIt lands in the same chat you started from, and it turns into a sticker pack.
FAQ
Questions about images
Is the AI image generator really free?
You get 12 Stars every week and no card is needed. That is a few of the cheapest images, and after that it is either next week's Stars or a top-up. Unused Stars do not carry over.
What does an image cost?
Every model has its own price, listed above. The same amount sits on the generate button before you start, and that is exactly what is charged: one credit is one Telegram Star.
Can I edit my own photo?
Yes. Send the photo and write what to change: the background, the clothes, the style. Nothing to upload, the shot is already in Telegram.
What can I do with the image?
It arrives in the chat as an ordinary picture: send it to a friend, post it to a channel, or turn it into a sticker pack you can use in any conversation.
